An exploration of still life objects that form peculiar or thought-provoking images. Heavily influenced by Rene Magritte, the enigmatic Belgian surrealist. Many compositions are symmetrically designed and placed against warm backgrounds with strong sidelight and elongated shadows. Often compositions include dashed or leading lines, sometimes formed by strings suspending an object. This is done to create a “mechanical look” that extends a feeling of contrivance.  The artist loves the Rube Goldberg website with squeaky objects that work together to form nonsensical gadgets.
