Urban Landscapes +
A collection of smaller areas within cities, and quiet corners of various sized towns. These paintings explore the light and feeling of gritty rail yards, empty time-worn buildings, rusting bridges, weathered store signs, and parts of the landscape that often go unnoticed. Usually these are set in late afternoon or early evening, and without the interaction of people. These low-keyed scenes focus on the “flavor” or ambiance of the neighborhood.
